The 2024 NFL MVP is already off to a hot start to begin the '25 season. Bills QB Josh Allen was named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week for his performance in Buffalo's electric fourth quarter comeback against the Ravens in Week 1.

Allen totaled 424 yards of offense (394 passing yards + 30 rushing yards) and four touchdowns (2 passing + 2 rushing) while completing 33-of-46 passes and a 112.0 passer rating.

This is Allen's 16th career player of the week award, extending his franchise record and marking the most of any player since he entered the NFL in 2018.

In the fourth quarter, Allen recorded 251 passing yards — the most by a QB in a win since 1996. He became the first player in NFL history to have 250+ passing yards & 2+ rushing TDs in any single quarter of any single game as he helped the Bills erase a 40-25 deficit with four minutes remaining.

Starting from the Buffalo 20-yard line, Allen led a game-winning drive with 1:26 remaining. He went a perfect 4 of 4 passing for 71 yards to put the Bills in position for a game-winning field goal by kicker Matt Prater as time expired.

Allen record his fifth career game with 300+ passing yards and 2+ rushing touchdowns, which is an NFL record (three others tied with 3 such games). He now also has the most games in NFL history with 350+ passing yards, 2+ passing TDs & 2+ rushing TDs (3).

He also surpassed Thurman Thomas (65) and became the Bills all-time leader in rushing touchdowns (67).
