The Bills added a veteran to their defense on Tuesday morning. Linebacker Shaq Thompson has signed a one-year deal with Buffalo.
Thompson's last stop was with the Panthers where he played 10 seasons for Carolina. The linebacker has played in 123 games and made 112 starts during his 10-year career. Thompson has racked up 752 career tackles, 54 tackles for loss, 32 quarterback hits, 12 sacks and three interceptions.
The former Panther was drafted by Carolina in the first round (25th overall) of the 2015 NFL Draft. Thompson is from Sacramento, California and played for Washington University.
He will wear No. 45 with the Bills.
