Safety Damar Hamlin is returning to the Bills on a one-year deal, the team announced Friday morning.
Hamlin's 2025 season was cut short due to a pectoral injury that landed him on injured reserve on Oct. 11. Prior to his injury, Hamlin appeared in five games as a role/depth player for the Bills, recording one tackle.
In 2024, Hamlin earned a starting safety position.
Since getting drafted by Buffalo in 2021 out of Pittsburgh, Hamlin has recorded 185 total tackles, nine passes defensed, eight tackles for loss, three quarterback hits, two interceptions, 1.5 sacks and one fumble recovery over 53 games in five seasons.
Hamlin joins a Bills safety room that includes Cole Bishop, C.J. Gardner-Johnson, Geno Stone and Sam Franklin Jr. Buffalo recently signed Garder-Johnson and Stone in free agency. The Bills re-signed Franklin at the end of February on a three-year deal.
