1. One reason the Bills secondary is one of the NFL's best

The Buffalo Bills secondary has been performing at a high level since Sean McDermott took over in 2017. One of the reasons for success is that the players are not just teammates, they are a family. Over the weekend Dean Marlowe and his wife Marlana Marlowe came to the Bills Stadium to have a gender reveal with teammates Micah Hyde and Levi Wallace. When asked why specifically those two teammates were there for the reveal, Marlowe said that they play pretty big roles in his life.

"Those two guys play big roles, my wife and Micah's wife are really close, and Levi's my locker mate.

It would be nice if we had the whole defensive back group or more players there but with social distancing rules, we just wanted to make it quick. Right after we got done with practice Micah and Levi are there for us, to help us out."

The Bills defensive back also shared why this group of guys is so close and how that has helped them continually play at a high level.

"This is our job, and this is how we look at it," Marlowe explained. "This is a team sport, and it's one of the most unique jobs that we have. We can't just be friends inside the facility, you have to be able to know one another outside, and when you do that it translates to the field. Like with me, Micah, Jordan, Levi, Tre'Davious, and Josh Norman, we're the guys that have been around each other and have known each other for three years, and it's something really special. That's why I think we've been one of the top secondaries in the last couple years. We know how to play together and know how to play with each other. Knowing what we like to eat, and who's the funniest, it's all that little stuff just translates to the field."

2. McDermott recognizes this training camp standout

This Bills roster has a lot of talent and depth, and that lead to a very competitive training camp period. With camp concluding over the weekend, Coach McDermott shed some light on who he thought exceeded his expectations this summer.

"I would say just looking at the starting group, Tremaine Edmunds. Not that it's been a surprise," McDermott added. "But to watch his maturity and growth over the course of the offseason on the field and off the field. He seems very comfortable in his own whereabouts in terms of what we're doing scheme-wise and is very confident as a leader in our locker room. The interesting part about that is we haven't really been around one another [this offseason]. So really a lot of the credit goes to him and his support system at home."

3. GMFB's Peter Schrager has Zack Moss on his list of breakout players for 2020

Peter Schrager of NFL Network’s Good Morning Football put Zack Moss number seven on his list of top 10 breakout players of 2020. Schrager compared Moss to former Bills running back Marshawn Lynch. He said a lot of good things about Moss and thinks he's going to surprise a lot of people as a rookie.

Peter Schrager's Top 10 Breakout Players of 2020

_# 7: Zack Moss _

Now we are going to a rookie, and it's not a rookie running back, necessarily, drafted on your fantasy team or a have heard us rave about. I'm going with the big boy Zack Moss; third-round pick out of Utah. Zack Moss was the 2019 Pac 12 Offensive Player of the Year, led the conference in both rushing yards and rushing touchdowns. And he is the cousins of NFL player Santana and Sinorice Moss. Also, the Bills, we saw that they waited in the draft to take a running back, all of these guys went before him. I'm talking about Lee Bowden Jr who's going to be running back or wide receiver we're not sure. They sat pretty in the third round and they got Zack Moss, and everyone said well what about "Motor" Singletary, what about Devin Singletary? Listen to me now, on August 31, don't be shocked if Zach Moss gets more of the load than Devin Singletary. He's bigger, he's compared to Marshawn Lynch, and he is having an outstanding summer. Motor is a smaller guy and is a player that can do things out of the backfield that you like with the razzle-dazzle. He certainly can make big plays when needed as he did in Pittsburgh last year, but I would say Zack Moss might be the bell cow for the Buffalo Bills by the end of this season.
