Bird's eye view in Bills draft room

It's one of the most exclusive areas of the facility at One Bills Drive. During the pre-draft process the Bills draft room is kept under lock and key and their draft board is covered and locked up too when GM Buddy Nix and his college personnel department are through with the day's work. While Bills fans won't be able to see Buffalo's draft board, they will have the opportunity to see the goings on in the team's draft room as time winds down on their pick at third overall.

The NFL Network has set up a camera in Buffalo's draft room, which will provide a bird's eye view of the head table where Nix, owner Ralph Wilson, head coach Chan Gailey and Vice President of College Scouting Tom Modrak will be seated. A portion of the first row of seats in the Bills draft room will also be visible where scouts and support staff are seated.

"This is the first time that I can recall that we've ever had a live camera in the draft room and we're excited about that," said Bills Vice President of Communications Scott Berchtold. "The NFL Network reached out to us and a number of other NFL teams and made the request."

Buffalo's brass obliged and so on day one of the NFL draft April 28th it's anticipated that the NFL Network will have a fair number of look-ins at the goings on at One Bills Drive as part of their 2011 NFL draft coverage.

"We're obviously very excited about this year's draft in having the third overall pick and the second selection in the second round and our fans are excited as well," said Berchtold. "So we think this is a great opportunity for our fans to have an inside look."

With Buffalo holding the highest pick in the first round in more than a quarter century the Bills and the NFL Network are hoping the access along with the player they pick provides high drama for Bills fans.

"This is going to be a big day in Bills history," Berchtold said. "And it's great that our fans will be able to have a look inside our draft room and see when the decision is made."
