There was a Bills presence at one of the most talked about social events of the year on Saturday morning. A self-described Bills fan, Bishop Michael Curry stood in the same room as Queen Elizabeth II, and gave a sermon at the Royal Wedding.

Born in Chicago, Bishop Curry moved to Buffalo at a young age when his father, the Rev. Kenneth Curry, became rector of St. Philip's Episcopal Church, according to the Buffalo News. Once in the city, Curry became a Bills fan courtesy of the Washington Post.

In 2015, Curry became the first black presiding bishop to lead the Episcopal church. Something The Washington Post said his father, "probably would never have imagined."

Without ever meeting him beforehand, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle handpicked Curry to speak at their wedding, according to cosmopolitan.com. Inside St George's Chapel in Windsor, Curry's sermon reached the millions of people watching the event around the world, and the world took notice of what he had to say.

Curry began the sermon by quoting Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

"We must discover the power of love, the redemptive power of love. And when we do that, we will make of this old world a new world. Love is the only way."

Married to his wife, Sharon and with two adult daughters, Curry joined the royal family and all their guests in one of, if not the biggest event of the year. There he assured one key point in his sermon, and that is that love is the answer.

"Think and imagine a world when love is the way," said Curry. "Imagine our homes and families when love is the way. Imagine neighborhoods and communities when love is the way. Imagine governments and nations when love is the way. Imagine business and commerce when love is the way. Imagine this tired old world when love is the way. When love is the way, unselfish, sacrificial, redemptive, then no child will go to bed hungry in this world ever again. When love is the way, we will let justice roll down like a mighty stream and righteousness like an ever-flowing brook. When love is the way, poverty will become history. When love is the way, the earth will be a sanctuary. When love is the way, we will lay down our swords and shields down by the riverside to study war no more."

Twitter exploded after Curry finished his sermon with so much love not only for the newlyweds, but Curry himself.
