What They're Saying | Bills players earn support from NFL analysts as end-of-season recognition rolls around

WTS1.8

With the 2025 regular season wrapped up, NFL analysts gave their input on who they think deserves AP All-Pro and other awards.

Here's what they're saying:

Reggie Gilliam, All-Pro | Gordon McGuinness, Pro Football Focus

Fullback Reggie Gilliam made it onto Gordon McGuinness' All-Pro First Team. Gilliam is an essential piece to Buffalo's offense. With help from his blocking, the Bills became the top rushing team in the NFL in 2025.

"There aren't many players who line up at the fullback spot often these days, but Gilliam was the best of that group in 2025. He led all fullbacks in PFF run-blocking grade (73.5) and didn't allow any pressures on 24 pass-blocking snaps."

Dion Dawkins, All-Pro | Bill Barnwell, ESPN and Ayrton Ostly, USA TODAY

Bill Barnwell of ESPN didn't have the easiest time sifting through the most impactful and productive players on the offensive line. He emphasized the importance of player availability in his selections across the board among all positions, which made this group particularly difficult.

Left tackle Dion Dawkins missed the third least games through Week 17 (1.7) and played 90.1 percent of offensive snaps. Behind first-teamers 49ers' Trent Williams and Broncos' Garett Bolles, Dawkins earned Second Team All-Pro recognition from Barnwell alongside Commanders' Laremy Tunsil.

Ayrton Ostly also put Dawkins on his All-Pro second team, crediting the Bills' efficient offense, in-part, to the veteran tackle.

"Buffalo's one of the most efficient and productive offenses in the league, thanks to its offensive line, including Dawkins. He's first in ESPN's pass block win rate among tackles and has allowed zero stuffs in run blocking, according to Sports Information Solutions (SIS) data."

Ray Davis, All-Pro | The Next Gen Stats Analytics Team, NFL.com and Gordon McGuinness, Pro Football Focus

Running back Ray Davis scraped by as the only Buffalo Bill earning a spot on an All-Pro Team, according to Next Gen Stats. Davis, though he got his moment to shine on offense in Week 18, was a consistently explosive part of Buffalo's special teams throughout the season.

"Davis led the league in kickoff return average (30.4 yards), recording the third-best yards over expected (+8.8) in a single season since 2018 (min. 20 kickoff returns). The second-year running back also brought one back to the house in 2025 -- a 97-yarder against the Texans in Week 12."

Davis also earned second-team recognition on McGuinness' All-Pro picks for kick return.

Buffalo's rookie class continues making an impact in 2025, and Ben Solak put two on his All-Rookie Teams. Defensive tackle Deone Walker earned first team recognition alongside Tampa Bay defensive tackle Elijah Roberts. Cornerback Maxwell Hairston joined Arizona cornerback Denzel Burke on the second team.

"Once a prospective first-rounder thanks to his truly elite size (and great movement skills at 6-foot-7, 331 pounds), Walker fell in the draft after a poor final season at Kentucky. Buffalo struck gold when it took the risk in Round 4. Walker regularly takes on two blockers at the line of scrimmage, creates tackle-for-loss opportunities and makes high-effort pursuit plays into the boundary. He has also found more quick wins as a pass rusher than I expected. He'll get his hands into passing lanes, too -- and at his size, that's a big impediment for opponent QBs."

"Hairston has 156 coverage snaps this season, which is just enough to qualify (it's a made-up list, so there are no real rules). Hairston has the speed, ball-tracking ability and ball skills of a true No. 1 cornerback with shadow ability, though his play is predictably up and down for a rookie who missed training camp. His lack of bulk will also be exposed by physical receivers and in run defense. Hairston barely beats out two more physical corners -- Nohl Williams (Chiefs) and Azareye'h Thomas (Jets) -- who have fewer splash plays. But man, both of those guys looked great, too. This is a good cornerback class."
