Adam Zyglis
For the past 20 years, Adam has been the full-time editorial cartoonist for The Buffalo News. He began drawing weekly editorial cartoons for The Griffin at Canisius University (formerly Canisius College) in 2000, where he graduated summa cum laude from the All-College Honors Program with a degree in Computer Science and minors in Mathematics and Studio Art. After earning three national collegiate cartooning awards for his work at The Griffin, he landed an internship in the Graphics Department of The Buffalo News. He became the staff cartoonist for The News in August of 2004. Since then, his cartoons have become syndicated through Cagle Cartoons and have appeared in magazines, books, and newspapers around the world, including The Washington Post, USA Today, The New York Times, Newsweek, Los Angeles Times, MAD magazine, and many other publications. He's won many national awards for his work, including the 2015 Pulitzer Prize for Editorial Cartoons. In 2022, he published an illustrated book on Buffalo culture, "You Know You're From Buffalo If…," and shortly after began creating murals around the city, including several on the Buffalo Bills.
