Brittain Peck

Brittain Peck

Brittain Peck is an illustrator and public artist whose work uses bold, graphic colors and a clear-line drawing style to create approachable, character-based narratives. He mixes cartoon-like outlines with convincing depictions of light and depth, moving viewers back and forth between the illustrated image and experiences of reality. His work in ceramic tile mosaic is based on a square grid of 1 inch tiles, which when combined with sports imagery, is intended to create a sense of nostalgia for the beloved home video games from the late 1980's.

A Line in the Snow, 2026

Glazed ceramic tile

Through the depiction of a frigid, immovable wall of a Bills defensive line, this ceramic tile mosaic pays tribute to the grit and attitude that deïŹne this city, as well as the open-roof stadium and lake-effect snow that have deïŹned football in Buffalo. This piece is simultaneously intended as both an homage to our former stadium, and a recognition of the continuation of the open-roof of our new home, to which we will always be able to welcome opponents to face us on the line in the snow.
