Fire Loom Creations
"Kelly "Tsieriwaiens" Back, Turtle Clan and Tyson"Karonhiahere" Back, Wolf Clan are Fire Loom Creations. Shekon/Hello. They have created over 200 custom beaded loomed belts for people to wear at ceremonies, weddings and graduations, as well as pieces used for fashion and for museum/University showcase pieces. The beadwork they create has important cultural and symbolic storytelling meaning. Most loom belts become family heirlooms passed down from generation to generation. Knowing that we are part of that personal process gives us an immense feeling of honor and pride. Their work has been recognized within our local community and beyond. FireLoom Creations has won and been nominated for multiple awards. With many years in the business they also have begun travelling to different First Nations communities and museums for demonstration work, and also travel to create community belts within schools and host tours.
"Our small business has given our family many gifts, and we are always looking forward to the future opportunities and adventures coming our way."
