Jill Pettigrew

Jill Pettigrew has been an artist since receiving her first box of 64 Crayola crayons at age five. She graduated summa cum laude from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania with degrees in Art Education and Painting. Over her decades-long career, Jill has taught students of all ages, including K-12, adults, senior citizens, and those with special needs. She has led significant public art projects, such as a mural with blind students and one depicting the history of Batavia, NY. Her  work features pure, saturated colors, eye-catching patterns, and stylized images of objects from pop culture and everyday life, making my art accessible to a diverse audience of all ages. The central theme is to convey positivity and joy.

12. Jill Pettigrew - Finished Mural

Sunday in the 716, 2026

Acrylic latex on aluminum composite material

From the noise of the stadium to the ïŹ‚avors that deïŹne the region, this mural celebrates the symbols that represent our community. The artwork utilizes a striking pop art aesthetic—mixing Buffalo Bills imagery with iconic area favorites—to highlight the shared passion and pride that unite everyone  across the 716.

Thank you to Sherwin Williams of Batavia, NY for mixing all of the 45 colors (!) and the paint donation.
