Lillian Selby

Lillian Selby is an award-winning graphic designer, illustrator, and hand-letterer based in Buffalo, NY. Originally from Virginia, she embraced the Buffalo winters and true fandom of the Bills as soon as she unpacked her U-haul on Ashland Avenue in 2009. Her design work is behind a number of Buffalo landmark brands including Martin House, Theatre of Youth, Buffalo Museum of Science, and Central Terminal. When she's not working directly for a non-profit or a cultural client on their brand, she is diving into the world of hand-lettering and illustration.

Do Good, Be Good, and Now. Here., 2026

Printed Dibond folded onto wooden frame

Lenticular art dates back to 16th-century England, where craftsmen called it tabula scalata, or "turning pictures." Two images were sliced into thin strips and mounted on a corrugated surface so that depending on where you stood, you'd see one image or the other. The quotes on these two artworks are created as brightly hand-lettered, lenticular pieces that speak to our collective faith in the Bills.

Special thanks to Meagan Walker Doxtad for seeing the dream and Hadley Exhibits for making it real.
