The Bills made a handful of roster moves Saturday. Buffalo signed OL Demetrius Rhaney, DT Roderick Young and CB Captain Munnerlyn.

Those additions also meant the Bills had to make subtractions from the roster. CB EJ Gaines and DT Robert Thomas were both placed on injured reserve with core muscle and knee injuries respectively. OL Nico Siragusa was also released.

Munnerlyn, 31, played the last two seasons for the Carolina Panthers, his second stint with the club. He previously played for the Panthers during his first five seasons in the NFL, with three coming under Sean McDermott when he was Carolina's defensive coordinator.

Munnerlyn (5-9, 195) was a seventh-round pick of the Panthers in 2009.

Two of Munnerlyn's most productive seasons came under McDermott including four of his five career interception returns for touchdowns.

Last season Munnerlyn appeared in all 16 games for the Panthers, making five starts and had nine pass breakups, two sacks and an interception.

Rhaney (6-2, 300) had most recently been playing with the Hamilton TigerCats in the CFL this summer, but has played in 33 NFL games in his career after the Rams made him a seventh-round pick in 2014.

His NFL game action came in the 2015 and 2016 seasons for the Rams, but the club released him in June of 2017. Rhaney had a pair of short stints with Jacksonville and Washington in the 2017 offseason and most recently played in the Alliance of American Football for the Memphis Express before signing on with Hamilton this past May where he lined up primarily at center.

The TigerCats just released Rhaney on Aug. 5th.

Young (6-1, 307) was an undrafted rookie free agent signing of the Jacksonville Jaguars this past April out of North Texas University.

However, he sustained an injury in the Jaguars rookie minicamp and was waived-injured in May before reverting to injured reserve. Young reached an injury settlement with the club and was available to sign with another NFL team as a free agent.

At North Texas, Young posted 132 career tackles, including 17.5 for loss and 6.5 sacks.
