Bills head coach Sean McDermott has ruled linebacker Matt Milano (pectoral), defensive tackle T.J. Sanders (knee) and safety Damar Hamlin (pectoral) out for Monday's game against the Falcons.
McDermott also announced that Sanders and Hamlin will eventually be placed on Injured Reserve.
"(Damar Hamlin) had a pec situation come up in practice," McDermott said of Hamlin's injury.
McDermott said they weighed Sanders' options and landed on placing him on IR.
"We were weighing the options and seeing what one day at a time would do in terms of improving his situation," McDermott said. "It didn't look like it was improving, so we decided to (have him) get surgery and put him on IR."
When asked if Sanders or Hamlin's injuries are season ending, McDermott said he isn't sure just yet.
"Don't know on either of them, really," McDermott said. "(I) feel a little bit better about T.J. (Sanders). Damar (Hamlin) is up in the air at this point."
Milano did not practice this week. The LB re-aggravated his pectoral injury during last week's game against the Patriots.
McDermott did not have an injury update for tight end Dalton Kincaid (oblique) or wide receiver Curtis Samuel (neck/ribs).
"Dalton Kincaid and Curtis (Samuel), we'll look at them today and see what they can get done here for us."
Kincaid was limited for Thursday and Friday's practices. Samuel was limited for Thursday and did not participate during Friday's practice.
Defensive tackle Ed Oliver (ankle) was limited for Thursday and Friday's practice. The DT hasn't appeared in a game since Week 1 against the Ravens. Oliver was limited in practices last week but did not play against New England.
Saturday post-practice update: Kincaid and Samuel are officially listed as questionable.
McDermott believes Oliver is trending in the right direction.
"He's looking good," McDermott said of how he looked in practices this week. "Coming off of being out for a little bit of time here. So, I think practice has been good for him. And getting him back and knocking some of the rust off there as well. I think he's getting excited."
Oliver spoke to a small group of media after Friday's practice and echoed McDermott's comments.
"I feel a lot better than last week, a lot more confident," Oliver said. "I'm ready."
Left tackle Dion Dawkins (thumb), safety Taylor Rapp (nose), linebacker Dorian Williams (knee) were limited for Thursday's practice but participated in full during Friday's practice.
