The Bills (10-4) are 10.5-point favorites heading into Sunday's matchup against the Cleveland Browns (3-11) at Huntington Bank Field. The game kicks off at 1 pm and will air on CBS.

Here's a list of additional notes for Sunday's game:

  • Bills can clinch a playoff spot with a win or tie + a loss by Houston or Indianapolis
  • Browns have lost their last 3 games and 6 of their last 7 games in total
  • Bills are 25-4 in December/January regular season games since 2020 - the best record in the NFL during that span
  • Bills are 9-4 against rookie QBs since 2017 - rookie Shedeur Sanders is making his 1st start against the Bills
  • Cleveland DE Myles Garrett needs 1.5 set the all-time NFL single-season sack record
  • Josh Allen is 4-2 against the No. 1 pass defenses in the NFL - Cleveland ranks No. 1 in pass defense in 2025

The wind and the cold won't impact Josh Allen.

Florio's pick: Bills 31, Browns 20.

Simms's pick: Bills 20, Browns 9.

Buffalo runs the risk of a letdown after that thrilling comeback at New England last Sunday, but the Bills can ill afford a stumble in terms of the AFC playoff pecking order.

Final score: Buffalo 27, Cleveland 13.

The Bills are coming off a big road victory over the Patriots and now play a second-consecutive road game against a team they should beat. Motivation could be key, but the Browns have offensive issues. Look for the Bills to take care of things in this one early to win it behind another strong game by Josh Allen.

Pick: Bills 27, Browns 14

The Browns have averaged 13.3 points through a three-game losing streak, and despite Myles Garrett (21.5 sacks) being on the chase for the single-season record the defense is bad, too. Cleveland is 0-2 ATS as an underdog of 10 points or more, and the Bills' offense is hot with Josh Allen.

Pick: Bills 28, Browns 20

The Bills might need to grind more offensively with Josh Allen to avoid falling into a tough defensive trap on the road. Their own defense gets a break with Cleveland's rushing attack slumping. Myles Garrett may win a battle or two, but Allen will be the clear winner of the war.

Pick: Bills win 24-10 and cover the spread.

What we're hearing on the Bills: QB Josh Allen, the reigning MVP, has firmly planted himself back in the awards conversation, but his focus is elsewhere. "I'm just trying to do my job, just trying to find a way to get in the playoffs here," Allen said. The 29-year-old has a chance to make history Sunday. With just one more touchdown, Allen will become the youngest and fastest NFL player to reach 300 scores. -- Alaina Getzenberg

What we're hearing on the Browns: DE Myles Garrett is one sack away from tying the NFL's single-season sack record shared by Michael Strahan and T.J. Watt, and he's 1.5 sacks away from breaking it. Surpassing 22.5 sacks through 15 games played would give Garrett the distinction of achieving the feat in fewer games than it took Strahan in 2001 (16) and in just as many as it took Watt in 2021. "That's why I got to get back on the field," said CB Denzel Ward, who missed last week's game and is currently questionable because of a calf injury. "I told him don't break the record without me out there. I got to be out there when he breaks the record. ... I'm hoping he gets to [break the record] this week and like I said, it's not a matter if, but when he gets that record. And just the credit to him and the work that he's put in and the entire defense. You can't do it alone." -- Daniel Oyefusi

Stat to know: Allen has had three passing touchdowns and no interceptions in each of his past two games. No Bills quarterback has ever had three straight games with three passing touchdowns. -- ESPN Research

Bold prediction: Garrett won't record a sack against Allen. I think Garrett will have to wait another week to break the record. Bills left tackle Dion Dawkins currently ranks second in pass block win rate at 95.3%. -- Walder

What's at stake: The Bills can clinch a playoff berth this week with a win and either a Texans or Colts loss. See Playoff Machine. -- ESPN Research

Fantasy nugget: The Browns' Harold Fannin Jr. is currently the TE8 in ESPN leagues. He has been superb and has recorded at least 11 fantasy points in three consecutive games, including one with 25.4 points. Over that span, Fannin has stockpiled 30 total targets. The only TE with more targets than him this season is Trey McBride. The Bills' defense has allowed the fewest fantasy points per game to the position, but don't let that deter you from starting Fannin given his elite target volume. See Week 16 rankings. -- Moody

Betting nugget: The Browns are 0-3 ATS in their past three games. Read more. -- ESPN Research

Maldonado's pick: Bills 34, Browns 10

Moody's pick: Bills 24, Browns 13

Walder's pick: Bills 31, Browns 10

FPI prediction: BUF, 80.4% (by an average of 12.8 points)

Why Brooke picked the Bills: NFL Pro gives Cleveland two matchup advantages: defensive pressure rate and overall rushing efficiency. I'm not sure that will be enough to take down the mighty Bills, who are coming off a big divisional win and saw their road to the Super Bowl open up with Patrick Mahomes' Chiefs and Joe Burrow's Bengals getting eliminated from the playoffs last week. It should be noted that the Bills have been able to overcome shoddy defensive play at times thanks to Josh Allen, who is statistically outperforming his 2024 MVP numbers. James Cook deserves some credit, too. This offense is built to overcome a lot. In fact, the Bills are 4-1 when allowing 30-plus points in 2025 (the rest of the NFL is 10-98-2) and are 4-2 when allowing 185-plus rush yards (rest of NFL is 4-26). Considering these Browns -- led by rookies in pass attempts (Dillon Gabriel), carries (Quinshon Judkins) and receptions (Harold Fannin Jr.) -- have scored 30 points or more just once this entire season (Week 7) and have only eclipsed 120 yards rushing three times, it should be smooth sailing for Sean McDermott's bunch. And don't forget, we're on record watch: Myles Garrett needs 1.5 sacks to break the NFL's all-time single-season record of 22.5.

Gagnon: Browns (+10)

In seven home games this season, the Browns have been outscored by a total of four points. Meanwhile, the supposedly mighty Bills have outscored their opponents by just 3.1 points per game since Week 10.

For the Bills, this could be a bit of a road trap between a thrilling victory in New England and a potential Super Bowl preview against Philadelphia.

Buffalo is 3-6 against the spread coming off wins this season, and I'm thinking that drops to 3-7 as it wins a closer-than-expected tilt in this spot.

Sobleski: Bills (-10)

At this point, there's no reason whatsoever to believe in the Browns. Myles Garrett is the only player on the squad seemingly playing for anything, with the NFL's single-season sack record on the line.

This season, Cleveland has lost five consecutive games where it faced an opponent that currently owns a winning record by an average of over 20 points per loss.

Conversely, Josh Allen is back to his Superman level of performance, with Buffalo still vying to win the AFC East.

Predictions

Bills: Davenport, Hanford, Knox, Moton, Sobleski

Browns: Gagnon, O'Donnell
