Game predictions | Bills at Giants in Week 2

The Bills Mafia invasion of MetLife Stadium continues into Week 2. Buffalo did a solid job holding Le'Veon Bell to 3.5 yards per carry last week, but that effort was just a warm-up for its matchup against Saquon Barkley. The better news for the Bills is that Josh Allen came through late in the Jets game against a defense that's more talented and aggressive than the one he'll see from the Giants.

Prediction: Bills 24, Giants 20

The Bills are playing consecutive road games in the same stadium after beating the Jets last week. They came from behind in the fourth quarter to do so. The defense was outstanding. I think that continues here. The Giants are a mess. The Bills go to 2-0.

Pick: Bills 21, Giants 16

MDS's take: Everyone is talking about Eli Manning and Daniel Jones, but the Giants' defense is the reason they're going to have an ugly season. The Bills should be able to move the ball effectively against them.

MDS's pick: Bills 30, Giants 17.

Florio's take: The Bills can start the season with a MetLife Stadium sweep. It helps that both teams who play there currently aren't very good.

Florio's pick: Bills 20, Giants 17.

I couldn't be higher on this Buffalo defense. Bills rookie defensive tackle Ed Oliver looks like an instant star, veteran Trent Murphy appears to be back to his Redskins form and the rest of the D-line rotation is impressive in its depth. This is a defense disciplined enough to limit the production of stars like Giants running back Saquon Barkley and tight end Evan Engram while forcing lesser G-Men to beat them. If Giants general manager Dave Gettleman is still a season away from fulfilling his vision, Bills coach Sean McDermott has been building to this team, this year.
